The pillar and post, famous for its country charm, is intimately connected to niagara-on-the-lakes agricultural history.The original structure was built in the late 1890s as a canning factory, and since has been lovingly transformed into a fine hotel. You can still see its original reason in the clean lines of the brick walls and in the post-and-beam construction. Dont be fooled by the buildings humble past, though.
